setting the timing
on a 2 gen, all you have to do is set the timing marks on the cams and crank, correct? you dont have to use a timing light or anything. let me know if this is correct...

Re: setting the timing
well 2nd gen would be same as 1st, and a timing light is for ignition timing w/ is ecu controlled...so you have to align w/e marks you're supposed to align w/ the cams and crank.

Re: setting the timing
You need to align the marks on the crank and cams to set the valve timing. A timing light is to set the ignition timing.

Re: setting the timing
so i dont have to do anything with a timing light. i know that the 1st gens. can adjust the timing alittle with the CAS.

Re: setting the timing
You talking about 2 diff types of timing here. The marks are for valve timing, the CAS is for ignition timing, you can also set the ignition timing on a 2nd gen and that requires a timing light.

Re: setting the timing
if all your talking about replacing the timing belt, then no you dont have to use a timing light.
