Where is the ground wire for blower motor

97 Blazer LT 4.3, 178,800 miles. My blower fan will stop for one to ten seconds while I am driving and then go back on. I have replaced the blower motor, relay and resistor. I am now thinking that I might have a ground problem. Does anyone know where the ground wire is for the circuit?

Thanks, Bill

not sure if it's the same as mine (89) but on mine there is no ground wire (ie, the motor grounds to the frame of the car)

Hi Blazer LT, thanks for posting. I am not experiencing any other problems and no codes are present.

Regards, Bill

Re: Where is the ground wire for blower motor

This might be a sign that the ignition switch is just starting to fail.

It might be failing causing the fan to think that the engine is shut off.

Thanks for the reply Blazer LT. I would think that also, but I replaced my ignition switch harness six months ago.
It sure seems like a dirty connection or a bad ground.

Regards, Bill

Re: Where is the ground wire for blower motor

Yea, it sounds like a loose connection or a ground to me.

Could be a defective motor as well.
