Where is the ground wire for blower motor
97 Blazer LT 4.3, 178,800 miles. My blower fan will stop for one to ten seconds while I am driving and then go back on. I have replaced the blower motor, relay and resistor. I am now thinking that I might have a ground problem. Does anyone know where the ground wire is for the circuit?
Thanks, Bill |

Re: Where is the ground wire for blower motor
not sure if it's the same as mine (89) but on mine there is no ground wire (ie, the motor grounds to the frame of the car)

Re: Where is the ground wire for blower motor
This might be a sign that the ignition switch is just starting to fail.
It might be failing causing the fan to think that the engine is shut off.

It sure seems like a dirty connection or a bad ground. Regards, Bill |

Re: Where is the ground wire for blower motor
Yea, it sounds like a loose connection or a ground to me.
Could be a defective motor as well.
