'03 Tahoe, intermittently won't start, loses all power.
The strangest thing has happened twice. I go to start my '03 Tahoe, powers on the gauges for a second, car doesn't turnover, and all power is gone. No power to windows, locks, security, nothing at all.
The first time I pulled some fuses to check if any had blown (none had). Almost ready to give up when viola, power is restored and it started no problem. Went to start it again a few hours later. Same thing. This time I didn't mess with fuses, I just disconnected the negative terminal of the batter, reconnected it, and power was restored. What's going on here? Since then the car start up fine, but I don't know what caused this to occur those two times. |

Humidity? Dirty terminals... Take a wire brush and clean the terminals on the battery.

I'll give that a try, the terminals are a little corroded. But that would cause me to lose power when attempting to start only?

Mine did that once; all I did was tighten the terminals and it hasn't happened again.
