I seen good articles covering S/C and turbos. Can some one explain the correct way to build all motor. Basically how to build it right. From the first step and up. My goal is to make 220 HP from 160 HP stock.
I would like to find what it takes and costs. What are the limits 1.6 liter ingine. Thanks for input. |

hmm.... from what i've heard.....for all motor power, you need a higher compression...and to safely increase you compression, you'll need some stronger internals.....a JUN engine would do fine....
....but if you want to build the b16.....why not do a ls or b20 vtec?......w/ the b20/vtec, you can get 220 easily.....in actuallity, i;ve see those set ups w/ 240 @ wheels n/a!!....umm....i forget the website....high comp pistons, head gasket, lighter con rods for faster piston speed.....the honda s2000 has 240 bhp n/a because it's piston speed rivals an f1 car....the stroke isn't all that short neither.....also, a complete JUN head package wouldn't hurt either......![]() ![]() .....i'm no genius like texan, but these are just some things i would do for a n/a killer,....i want to go all motor too when i get my car....

there's probably more to that too.....that's not including all bolt ons and shit.....JUN stage 3 cams.....mmmmm......also, you can stroke the motor but since you seem to want to keep it 1.6, i guess it's outta the question....i personally wouldn't stroke it....hrmm...doesn't sound rite...stroooke.....
