Surprised by a 2k2 6 speed Maxima

Well, he didn't beat me, but we raced twice. The first race was from a 40 mph roll. We beeped three times and then were off. I pulled about a car finishing up second to 65. Then proceded to only pull maybe one more all the way up to 100. So the total first race was from 40-100 and i pulled about 2 car lengths. The next race was from a 50 mph roll. The dumbass i am, i started off in third. Very bad decision on my part. I stayed in third until 90, and we stayed even. Then i shifted into fourth and started pulling. We raced up to about 125 and i was about a car and a half ahead of him by then. I knew i was going to win, but i thought i was going to by alot more. Oh well, i won and they were fun races.

what kind of 1/4 times and trap speeds are you nissan guys running with those things. Seems a hell of a lot faster than the 15.0 that road and track got with it. I ran a 15.2 in my gsr stock, and now im supercharged and i could barely walk away from this guy.

Re: Surprised by a 2k2 6 speed Maxima

my first and only time at the track i pulled:
R/T... .676
60'... 2.531
330'... 6.525
1/8... 9.855
mph... 75.49
1000'... 12.645
1/4... 15.030
mph... 94.3

my reaction times and 60 foot's were shitty, coupled with the fact that i had a failing mass airflow sensor(due to over oiling my airfilter) and 19" Konig rims on with bald tires. i have plans to go back with my stock wheels and my new Nokian tires. i know i can do better, hopefully i'll get into 14's next time. the best i've seen stock for my generation of maxima was a 14.4 in a 6 speed. average is around a high 14.
