Re: What do you think might have been damaged?

we really need a pic with the hood open to make that call.

i'll say right now that if the owner of the car wants over $500 it isn't worth it. it has frame damage and possibly needs an engine. it deffinatly needs a hood, fenders, bumper, lights, radiator

it will proboble sell for $200, is it worth it?
the rest of the car is fine, and the interior is in awsome condition, practically no rips, it's weird

Ami you forgot Crx JDM Complete front clip. That would be a good car to attempt a front clip conversion on. But ya that car is pretty trashed but worth $200 for the interior if its as good as you say.

i was going to suggest that after he told us how much for the car.

KinkBykr, for $200 i have to assume the engine is toast. which is okay, just realize all you are getting into.

the car has at least a 5 hr date with the frame rack. i highly suggest taking apart as much as you can before you drop it off as dismantling the car falls under "rack time"

you might want to consider a body kit vs jdm front end as aftermarket parts are more forgiving, easier to line up. stock parts are ment to be bolted up into an unmolested frame. things don't line up the same after a wreck and repair. a Wings West bumper for example, comes with no pre-drilled holes...you find the best fit and mount it. you might want to avoid fiberglass kits for the same reason as stock parts.

Re: What do you think might have been damaged?

in total getting the car here woulf prboble wind up being around $500. If I plan to use this car as the project car, would it really be worth it, I am willing to do the labor, but money wise, is it?

that really depends on you. some people refuse to own totalled cars because they aren't worth as much for resell. some people love totalled cars because they are cheap and make good projects.

whip out your local phone book and start calling shops asking what their rack rates are. i would love to tell you how much but the rates vary from shop to shop.
