I actually got a race

Wasn't much. I pulled up to a light and some kind of "modified car" rolls up next to me. I can tell he's pretty hardcore when his left side vented fender flare catches the side of my eye in my peripheral vision. I look over (trying to figure out what kind of car it is) and see an 18 year old looking guy with spiked bleach blonde tips and sunglasses on. I hear his exhaust and ponder if I should lean over and tell him it sounds pretty mean (still can't tell what car it is yet) but before I can the light turns green.

Round 1 -
He takes off slow and what once sounded like a nice exhaust turns into that oh so hated bumblebee sound. As he pulls ahead to prove his ricer superiority I see japanese styled letters on each side of the taillights slating from left to right "Toyota Corrolla" (looked mid 90's) sporting a japanese symbol on his trunk mated with some kind of type-r badges on the upper right side.
I seriously don't get these people but anyway as we take off I give it a little in first and hear him open up. Turns out he isn't going anywhere and I wind out the top of first sportronic style (3g eclipse gt's have a pretty nice strong first gear) instantly regaining the car or so he put on me from the light and passing him by a car before I hit 40. Once I pass him I briefly have to go into his lane to pass a van ahead of me so I don't endanger anyone. As I pull back into my lane the light ahead turns red... Round 2.

Round 2 - I look at him for about 5 seconds trying to coax a response but the light turns fairly quickly and boom he's off. I watch him leave and put it into drive instead of messing around sportronic style because it shifts slower slower. By now he has a few cars on me and I bet he thought he was winning, he was wrong. As soon as my damn auto transmission decides to downshift I get right back near his rear bumper in no time and quickly regain the lead. It took me up to 55-60 to get even with him and 65 or so to pull away. By 80 I was a few cars up and I decided to shut down then as we were on public roads and coming up to a circle. I almost lose traction as I'm going about 60 making the turn into the circle and hear my tires squeal a little bit. By now I'm so far ahead of him that by the time I'm out of the circle he has definitely stopped trying and lands 10+ cars back.

The funniest thing about this race is that the guy wouldn't look at me and each time I passed him i'd see him hit his steering wheel in my rearview mirror as if he had lost a championship match or something. He eventually drove past me very very slowly being careful not to provoke another slaughter and I held the thumb up but again had no response... All the guy did was turn his stereo up and I promptly followed with a blast from the subs to drown out whatever random barbie girl music he was playing. All the people I've raced so far have been COMPLETE ricers. Its funny though because I gave him a 2-3 car headstart on round 2 on accident and still managed to wind up passing him like he was standing still.

Cliff Notes - Riced out toyota corrolla pops up to the right of me, I admire his exhaust sound. He starts to open up on the throttle and I instantly turn to hating his bumblebee exhaust ricer modification and decide to slaughter him for his ignorance.... Twice.
The end.

Ever since my friend got his civic back I am scared of riced out cars. He has a 90 si with a black hood and left front fender. He has the huge APC stickers all over. He also has a JDM sir swap with a skunk 2 intake, AEM cold air, Apex-1 exhaust, and skunk 2 short shifter. That car is quick. I love when a mustang or camaro laughs at it, then gets beat. Not slamming v8s, they are just the only ones who will race it with out looking under the hood.

ROFL material.

Apparently those lightweight hondas are able to haul ass with a different motor in them due to power/weight ratio but I'm more a fan of FI power than hp/weight power.

sorry it has a skunk 2 intake manifold and AEM cold air. I don't really know how fast it is but it beat a celica gts with a cold air and exhaust.

Oh well then its probably like an 11 second car man. If your boy ever fries his piston rings let me know and I'll give him Dom's number so he and the mad scientist can rip the block apart and replace them.
