presure washing Z06 engine ???

hey i had a customer come in to my shit the other day for some detailing with his 02 Z06 anyways my partner told ma after i booked the appointment that one could not hit the engine with water ?????? if you do it causes a 1500.00 repair bill its no big deal its almost like new i could do it by hand but i havent ever herd something so crazy i have presure washed every engine bay from porsche to a ferrari 355 and never had a problem any one with a modern vett help i mean they biult the damned things to race and some times it rains right


and is the SLP cold air intake the best on the market or has any of you guys found anthing better ???
