over the next few weeks one of them is going nitrous, maybe both. also im looking in to possibly adding another import which will definately be forced induction.

Is nitrous still considered all motor????

If thats so then I'll have to find the non-Nitrous all motor class.

No nitrous is considered a form of forced induction.

I saw this ugly ass beaten black CRX pull up at the races makin this nasty ass growl that sounded like it was taking a crap on the highway. So the people give it the benefit of the doubt and they set him up with a stock 2002 mustang gt automatic. So they do a rolling start head to head, and when the guy waves down his hand in the middle, both cars roar off, although it was impossible to hear the stang because that CRX was louder than a freakin turbine engine 5 feet away from you ears. So we take a look down the track, and the CRX beat him by like 4-5 carlengths. The Stang came back sayin that the CRX was shootin, but the CRX dude said it was almost stock. All he had claimed to doing was intake, ECU, and he removed the entire exhaust. So we were still like "what gives" and we asked him what engine, and he was like "stock man", then he said "dual cam", and the other guys were all like "ohhhhhh", but then I was thinkin WTF, I though they didn't make DOHC for CRX, so it must have been a hybrid, whic means not stock.

He wasn't shooting NOS and it was N/A, so it had to be a hybrid. He refused to open the hood, and I still wonder what he has under there. There is another beat up CRX exactly like it but yellow, and both of em are about equal in speed and are friends, and they they both beat a stang 4.6 auto, a 5.0 stick, a done up 240sx, and an older but turbo stick supra that also beat the 5.0. Anyway, anyone know what gives? Any thoughts?

Oh yeah, the guy that was holding up his hands to waves them by from a roll said he almost pissed himself when the CRX took off cuz it was so loud and fast.

Well first of all...there's no way a crx came DOHC...so we know it wasn't stock ( especially if he refuses to pop hoods). Second, that CRX could totally take out a mustang...that small car can definitely fly!! My guess is he had a B16 under the hood....

I raced a crx with my coupe at Hawthorne a couple of months ago...all he had was a stockB16 with a vtec controller and I barely took him out by a bumper....it was SICK!! I'm telling u....u can never tell with a CRX...depending whats under the hood...it can be slow as hell or Super Duper fast!!

That Mustang must've been HATING IT!!!!

Cool Story Chevy!!!

Well obivously that rex wasn't stock. Even with a b16 the mustang guy shouldn't lose to him that bad. Lets see..exhaust off you say? Did you hear any winding noise? I knew this guy with a 4th gen hb b16 that raced a mustang gt 5 speed. The hatch barely won with just an intake. Both were good drivers also. So i don't know ..that black rex probably has turbo?

a crx with a stock gsr motor though instead of b16 should whoop a stock gt mustang, and that would be dohc so maybe he had a gsr motor in there. just because he said the motor was nearly stock doesnt mean it was stock for a crx... he said the MOTOR was nearly stock right? he didnt say the CAR was nearly stock. if i had a gsr powered crx i would tell people i had a stock motor too, cuz its true, its just not the stock motor for a crx, but the motor itself is still stock. great way to confuse people!

Yeah b16 or GSR was what I was thinkin too and yeah, those things are light as hell. I mean like 1700-1800 pounds stock for them maybe less. My cousin has one but he doesn't do anything with it so all I see is wasted potential, especially when he says how slow it is.
