Your buying brand new? I can't think of anything to worry about on the new Jeeps. They have a great manual tranny and t-case, uhhh no and especially with a warranty, there's verry little to worry about. You might have to worry about the crappy stock stereo system :-)

Be sure to buy the under-coating, and extra warranty.

Hehehehehe I am just joking of course

The rip-off scam's at the dealerships are abundant. You are the customer, do your research.

Re: getting new jeep first ever

Pt cruiser is basically a neon. Turbo is $3k easy. Plus labor. Turbo's only decrease gas mileage a fraction. I am thinking SuperCharger, dunno if its the same thing. I looked into SC. I would never buy a brand new car off the lot of a dealership, not even buy used. I work hard for my cash, dont want to just give it away. Unless of coruse I will the lotto. Then I would be on some beach in the bahamas. 10 minutes after the cash is in hand, I would be heading to the airport. Dealership rip you off in every case. Marked up prices on used vehicles. new cars you loose thousands of dollars when you drive it off the lot. Of course the Honda's keep their value. I am thinking about buying a 1993 Suburban, chopping it up into a Avalanche type deal. Custom rides are so much better. I got thiis bumper sticker says "built not bought"

Re: getting new jeep first ever

With the X model, you can get the bass driver, which makes a difference in stereo output. Main decisions are going to be tire size and soft/hard tops. Other than that, it's good to go out of the showroom. If you're thinking of doing a lot of difficult offroading, look into the rear trac-lok differential (limited slip) and the 3.73 axle ratios. (and get the 3.73 ratios if you get or plan to get larger tires)
