Exhaust sound

Hey all,
I have a 92 silverado with a 4.3L V6, flowmaster duel exhaust with single in, duel out 40 series muffler. I was wondering if you had any ideas of some cheap ways to increase the sound/noise from the exhaust. I know the only way to make it loud is go with a larger engine but I can't afford that right now so any other ideas would be great.
Thanks,
Jimmy Dager

Re: Exhaust sound

arent those the headers that you can take a cap off of an extra pipe to make it louder/more powerful when you need it and you just put it back on when you want to be street legal?

Re: Exhaust sound

Yeh they make header cut-outs also, but what i have are in-line cut-outs. Look like a y in your pipes. Usually put right behind the converters. They make electric ones that open with the push of a button but mine a three bolt flange model. 2.5" out of jegs for about $22 each.
