Anyone with shaved mouldings look here!!!

Does anyone still have their Driver side moldings, door, fender and quarter for a 5th gen HB? If you still have them how much will you sell them to me?

You see the body shop will paint my moldings with my insurance claim. But since it is the passenger side with the damage they don’t want to take the driver side door panel off due to labor. I was only given a check for 1300 and for 300 more he will color match my spoiler, door handles, mirrors and moldings. But he says that most of the time when they try to take the moldings off without removing the door panels the clips break. Basically it is all about labor he is doing a lot of work for a small amount. Take a look at the damage on my thread in the 92 civic section I think it is titled “Pictures of my accident”

I was supposed to pay a $500 deductible but he said to make it $300 and he would fix it and color match everything.

So will you help a fellow Honda modder out?

I'll probably take some pictures of my car soon... WITH mouldings... and more than likely I'll take some at the shop while it's getting done, but then I'll get some finished pics too ^.^ no worries

Yeah I figured out what I am going to do. I am going to go ahead and get the Door handles, the mirrors and the HB Spoile color matched. And I will shave the moldings at a later date.

What is the going rate for shaving the moldings?

Sketch: Thanks for considering though.

I got my quote a while ago... Basically it was going to be $2500 for Shaving the doors handles/mouldings/trunk and the paint job I wanted... Shaving isn't too hard or expensive from what I hear... But the thing is I gotta take it somewhere else to get the poppers put in...

2500$ for all that and a paint job that real cheap, usually a good paint job alone costs 2500.

Shaving is pretty hard, because I have tried it before on practise cars.
It's a LOT of work, but I'm gonna shave my door panels when I finally get the car i want.

The price that Sketch told you was because the body shop working on his car is a friend of a family member of one of our club members. Between 5 cars (and 1 truck) he is going to cut all of our jobs in half, just because we're giving him so much business. And this guy guarentees his work for life. If anything was to go wrong like orange peel or anything he said he would fix it, no questions asked.

shaving stuff is dirt easy.
puttin popers in wont cost 2500 either.
autolock has a kit for about 200-300
instalation is simple, i did it myself.
the expensive part of shaving stuff is that you have to paint it, but im one lucky SOB who has a brother who paints for beer.
