1999 Suburban Confused front fan control switch.

I have a 1999 Suburban with a front fan control switch that has started to work in reverse. Off is max., max. is off and there is only one speed in the middle. Does the switch need to be replaced?

may be the switch is broken and that is why the positions are off.
I would definitely replace it.
