96 Burb hard starting

Sup guys, I have a 96 Burb that after sitting for a bit is a real pig to start. I have changed the distributor cap, plug wires and rotor. I also checked the fuel pressure and it is at 56 p.s.i. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Re: 96 Burb hard starting

I don't know what the pressure should be, but it sounds like the fuel pump or check valve that holds fuel pressure when truck is turned off. My 97 was harder and harder to start as the fuel pump was going bad until one day it just would not start. New fuel pump and it starts so fast I can't let go of the key qucik enough. Read some of the threads on fuel pumps that have been published over the last year and you'll get some good onfo!

Good Luck!
