Question Exhaust setup

I have a 95 Rs (b18b1) and live in Cali. I want to know if this setup would work. 4-2-1 Dc Sports headers into stock catilic converter into Skunk2 N1 catback exhaust system. In order for this setup to work, am i missing any pieces (ex. piping,etc...)

That will work if you bought everything new. If so the header and exhaust should come with all the gaskets. You will most probably use the hardware from the factory exhaust manifold.

Re: Exhaust setup

If i wanted to replace my cat, would that increase ALOT of hp and torque or is it not worth taking the risk of replacing it (i believe its illegal to have a high flow cat or have no cat in cali, but i could be wrong) and if its worth replacing, are those high flow cats or straight pipes from ebay any good? I also heard someone talking about hollowing out their cat? wat exactly happens in this process?

Re: Exhaust setup

'hollowing out the cat' is stinky haha. i did that on my 93 civic when the cat got built up and i lost alot of power. i busted out some of the honey-comb filter and then it all got busted up in there and i ended up tearing all that crap out. now its alot louder inside the car then it is outside with my catback with the ristrictor tip on. from what i have heard from friends in Cali is that the cops will look to see if you have a cat and not a stright pipe under there. your best bet for fitment and durability would be getting a high-flow cat from JCW or summit racing. thats just my opinion cause thats what i'm doing with my 95 teg ls.
