Cruise control buttons don't light up at night

I believe when the lights are turned on at night the cruise control buttons on the steering wheel of the Alero glow at night? The only problem I'm having with mine is the only thing glowing is the cruise on/off button on the left side. The buttons on the right side don't glow at all. Is this normal or is there something I need to have checked out? thanks...

Your cruise control switch assembly will need to be replaced. It includes the buttons on both sides of the steering wheel. The bulbs inside are not replaceable. Rockauto.com sells them for about $32.00. Be careful if you attempt to change it yourself. There are precautions you need to take as the airbag module has to be removed to get to the cruise control switch assembly.
