Help with sierra headlights

I have a 93 sierra and the headlights are not working. The low beams went out first. I replaced the bulb and it still did not work. Two days later the high beams are not working. Could it be the wiring?

Re: Help with sierra headlights

Sounds like it is the headlight switch. Not sure if a 93 is the same as a 90 but I have the factory manuals for a 90 and the Troubleshoot guide has the following.

At the headlamp switch check red wire for hot. If not hot, fix wire to junction box.

If red wire is hot, test yellow wire for hot when switch is on. If not hot, replace switch.

If yellow is hot, check light green for hot at the dimmer switch. If light green is hot, the wire (light green) from dimmer switch to headlights has a open.

If light green is not hot, replace dimmer switch.

Again this is for a 90 but I think the 87-95 was pretty much the same.
