Heater / AC Control Lighting

I just bought a 1997 Passport and when driving it tonight I noticed there was no lighting of the Heater AC control panel. Dash lights, instrument panel and radio work fine but nothing in the Heater/AC control. My question is
A: Is there supposed to be lighting there? Since I just bought it I dont know.
B: If so, how do I replace it?
