code 41

I've so far been getting a code 41 for about a month now in my 1987 buick century 3.8L v6. I have replaced the cam sensor and the computer in it. Now after three more days it starts running rough and jumpy and check engine soon light goes on and off during the drive and sometimes it won't even start at all. What could be causing this any ideas?

I would go to a salvage yard and grab a coil pack with module and replace that. If that doesn't do it I'd try the crank sensor. I have a 1992 Bonneville with a 3800 and it had for a long time a code 41, cam sensor circuit. I knew that it needed a crank sensor, the car would stall while driving and sometimes not start at all until it cooled down.

I replaced that and the stalling went away, but at times it still wouldn't start. Grabbed a coil pack, never put it in. Had a remote starter put in that disabled the VATS system and off and running now for 5 months.

Good luck,
