Did you replace with the right bulbs? They should be 9007 for your car. Also, do you have your fog light switch on? It should be to the left of the steering wheel, next to your dimmer switch. I'd think that you'd always have parking lights on when you have your headlights on, and you may have the brights switch engaged too.

Re: 2001 Headlight Problem

I replaced with the correct bulbs and it does the same thing...whether or not the fog lights are on the low beams don't come on at all...the only way i can get my headlights on is to use the high beams. when it's in the low beam position, the lights just wont come on. i'm thinking it might be the headlight switch on the steering column. that's the only other thing it could be, right? |

your right, it could be possible that the switch on the steering column is bad. Also, go back at your bulbs, and take off the electrical connector....are any of the connections burned/melted or corroded, loose... I had previously tried to put "Xenon" blue headlights it......they ended up burning one of my connectors causing a similar problem. According to a gm tech, even though they were the same amount of watts output, they drew more amps, and overheated the connector. hope this helps.
