Re: Do you like your ford probe?

I love the Ford Probe. While I only have the SE, its still ALOT of fun. I've never had any trouble with my PSE, and as long as you give it some love, it'll run just fine The GT version is an awesome car, especially if you want to throw some money into it. Aftermarket products are not as common as a civic, but they are out there and are very nice. Not only that, You can make a deadly sleeper out of a GT. I've got a friend that has a 430 hp Probe GT (1993), and he's spent about 4k. How many soop'd up civic's you know run at 430 at the wheels for just 4k? (okay, so my friend has access to a machine shop, which has helped cut down ALOT of the costs... lol :P) but still, you can get alot of bang for the buck here...

Yes

Im on my second probe my first was a 1993 ford probe base that i messed around with... it was a 5 speed it was a great car till it over heated and the water pump blew the car still ran fine just smoked on start up i just sold it with 160k on it for $500 and i mean you become an addict with these cars you get one cand you cant get enugh the 5 speeds are fun to drive and out handle any car... I just bought a 1996 GT 2.5 5 speed and i was impressed the difference in speed the 5 speed 2.0 could hold with the 2.5 AT's but the GT 5 speed is where its at... I think i might begin to take it to the track i raced a 97 firebird today and came up even so the car holds up nice to some of the v6 Rear wheel drives... later i got smashed by a C6 vette lol but really that doesent count... Buy a probe you are sure to love it...

Re: Do you like your ford probe?

Like the car, like probeaddiction.com, like second g's safty (first generation put my into the hospital going 10kms an hour when i got into a fender bender, My seat broke by the seat belt and directed my head into the window. LOL). Great car, will beat alot of honda's.

But for answering your question i love this car. It makes me want to go out side and just light it up down the street. OR beat the crap out of a gs-r.

Re: Do you like your ford probe?

I've got a pair of em, both 1st Gen. The 91 I got for my wife has been an adventure getting everything figured out, and fun as hell to drive. Paid $700 for it off a lot and it just appraised the other day for $2200. The 89 I'm working on, and somewhere in there I tripped out the brain unit for a Clifford alarm that includes a kill switch, so I've gotta trace the alarm and remove because I don't want it in there anyway, but only paid $50 for the car from a friend I work with. Was driving just fine when I got it though, after I replaced the thermostat, and I can't wait to get it going again! Handles like a dream!

Re: Do you like your ford probe?

I love my 93 pgt. Fast little car and hanldes like a dream. But there are many things that can go wrong with them if you don't take care of them right. mine was babied until i got it at about 135K miles, now it has 160 and it's been in and out of the shop like crazy. But if you keep up on everything, and take care of it right, it will a blast for you.
