How to repair broken handle on driver side passenger door
Anyone been inside the sliding passenger door? Today I pulled the handle and obviously it broke on the inside. I can still open the door from the inside but it is a major pain. Anyone have any ideas on opening the door from the inside and making the repairs or would I be better off taking it to a dealer and having them repair it. By the way it is a 99 Canada model.

Re: How to repair broken handle on driver side passenger door
The door panel needs to come off obviously, its held in with mostly all clips and one screw behind the inside handle. The inside handle has a horse shoe shaped clip that needs to come out in order to get that off. once the panel is off the inner door handle mechanisme needs to be unbolted and moved out of the way so you can get to the bolts that bolt the outer handle to the door skin.
Just remember before bolting the inside handle mechanism back just make sure the lever for the child safety latch is in the right spot. If not it won't work and you will need to remove it all again. Im guessing its manual door's right? If so have the rubber movdings checked. They are the ones on the top of the door opening but on the body. They are about 3 feet long. They are known to cause the door to stick and honda recently came out with an updated version.
