Keyless Entry: Do I have it?

I just picked up a 2004 Trailblazer, and I love it!

This thing has just about every option available, but it only came with one key and no keyless entry remote. I find it very hard to believe that the previous owner had all of the other options installed, but no keyless entry.

Is there any method of telling wether the reciever is installed? Or can I look somewhere to see it? I would love to purchase a remote so I can have keyless entry, but I'd hate to spend the money and not have the receiver so the remote is useless.

I've seen OEM replacement remotes on EBay for $20 or so, I might just pick one up and try it. Would there be any problems trying the remote if I didn't have a receiver?

If you have an AU_ RPOcode in your glovebox, then you have it. If not....nope. Pretty sure it came on all LT and LTZ's, but was optional on the LS.....

I checked and found an AU0, so that should do it. Looks like I'll be ordering up some remotes and I'll be in business. Thanks for the info!

Check ebay for remotes, they maybe cheaper...

yes, get 2 on ebay with programming instructions. They should be easy to program from what I gathered.

I saw that. Thats what actually made me think I had keyless entry, becuase I was looking for Trailblazer accessories and I saw all the remotes.

I ordered one up for $20 shipped, and it should be here first thing next week.
