On my timing gun it has alot of diffrent numbers on the dial. What number (ie; 0 12, 13 16 etc) do i set my timing up with? Please let me know b/c someone set my timing to 16 on the gun and shot it with that and it bogs like hell, so i thought 0 and i reshot it and it still bogs.. so please help?

i'm not familiar with your gun, (or guns with dials) i guess it depends what the dial does?. My gun has no dials, I pretty much just jump the service connector (important step!), unplug the tranny hole, and with the gun pointed at the marker/flywheel and the car at 700 +/- 50 rpm idle, line up the marker with the 15 deg +/- 2 marking on the flywheel by advancing or retarding the dizzy- it should be a red marking you are aiming for. don't try to get it to tdc (white marking) - i've seen a few people try that yoikes!.

so what does the dial do? then perhaps i can tell you how to set it?
