sound sound sound
blah blah blah.
ok fellows enough with the chit chat. heres my prob...... yesterday while at a friends house he wanted to hear the sweet sound of liberty also known as american thunder (Flowmaster exhaust), so I gave her a lil gas to get it rumbling for him and a loud whirring/squealing/I wish I could descibe it better was heard. annoying sound, it's coming from the engine compartment somewhere, it is very difficult to located the exact location, seems to be coming from the driverside rear of the engine (around the exhaust manifold)... It's a 94 5.2L... any suggestions. I am not sure if it still does it but I will check and post later. |

Re: sound sound sound
it's deffinately not a belt squeal. it's more like a whirring sound.
No I haven't found the exact problem to my CHECK ENGINE light coming on. I have cleaned the EGR valve and it is operating correctly, when I used a hald operated vacuum pump. I'm not quite sure what the problem is, I think either the transducer ot Purge Solenoid. |

Re: sound sound sound
Listen through a long piece of rubber hose, or ear on long screwdriver or stethoscope.
