Re: gas guage stuck on full
My 2001 has the same problem. I have not been very successful in figuring out why this is happening. It will be at full all the time unless maybe i sit at a light for a min and then it will go to completely empty and the low fuel light will come on.

Re: gas guage stuck on full
The sending unit in the tank has gone bad. We just watch our odometer and refuel every 250 miles.

Re: gas guage stuck on full
Yes, unfortunately they stuck it from top down. I don't think it would be that bad a job if you only have a gallon or two of gas in the tank. Not sure how much the sending unit is though.

Re: gas guage stuck on full
It's an easy fix - it works the same on Grand Prix's and Bonnevilles -
You don't have to pull the tank - there's an access panel that you can get into from the top, and the part is less than $50 bucks. The instructions tell you to take the new part into pieces, and stick it on the existing one, but I just used the entire plug-in assembly and it worked great. Doing it for the Aztec is likely the same fix: http://aurorah.proboards47.com/index...1180668&page=2 http://www.bonnevilleclub.com/forum/...718&highlight= |
