Tundra leaks when it rains

After a good rain, I find a small puddle of water on the floor mat on the right side of the hump. I have had it checked twice, no one can find it. Someone suggested a body seam was the cause. Anyone ever have this problem.

Re: Tundra leaks when it rains

I had the same problem. I fixed it by tightening the radio antenna. It appears that rain was following the cable into the cab and dripping off just behind the glove box onto the mat. Since tightening the antenna the first time, it loosened up and water came in again. I re tightened it and no more water. I saw this same fix posted on another site. It does work. Apparently the antenna has a poor design and will continue to loosen. The only permanent fix is to replace it with a better one.

Is the drain for the fresh air cabin intake clean?

Smile Re: Tundra leaks when it rains

I didn't check the drain as this was a new vehicle which leaked just about every time it rained. The dealer couldn't find the source of the leak and I didn't really expect them to. After reading in a forum about the loose antenna, I checked mine and found it to be loose. Thats when I tightened it and the leak stopped. I know it sounds far fetched but if it works, so be it. Thanks for your reply.
