whats the dif between d15b2 and a d15b7 buttom end?

i have 2 d15b2 and was thinkin right they have parts for the d15b7 why dont i build a d15b2 buttom end and put my d15b vtec head on it

soo well d15b7 parts fit in a d15b2 buttom and well the d15b vtec head fit on top of the d15b2 block?

Re: whats the dif between d15b2 and a d15b7 buttom end?

i am not real sure but i think that vtec heads have an extra oil port than non vtec. not sure where it is, but i have heard of swaps like this work. Look up frankenstine swaps. they are vtec heads on non vtec blocks, more common in preludes though, but there is an extra oil line that has to run externally in that case to create the oil pressure needed. but like i said i am not sure but something to consider.

seeing that the JDM D15B is a "Vtec" motor there will be differences than using that block vs a d15b2 block...sure they're both d15's but there are differences...hence the bringing up of the mini-me swap

non-vtec d15b2 sohc block + sohc vtec head = mini-me swap

but ask urself if ur certain that that d15b head will automatically fit the d15b2 block with no problem...may..may not
