Unhappy k&n filter problem

hi i installed a factory size k&n filter in my 2000 cavalier and works fine but

thr check engine ligt came on after 2 days,

im thinking maybe because the intake sensor is sensing more air getting inside the intake?

how can i fix this without putting the factory filter back?

i will apreciate any help

A filter cannot put too much air in your car. The engine takes what it needs but has an easier time getting it. You probably knock the IAT sensor. THey are very fragile. Go get the code read at autozone or where ever. But its not your filter.

Re: k&n filter problem

or if there was to much oil on the filter, the oil can come lose and get on the IAT sensor.
