Quick Question??!!
95 S-10 2.2L I have replaced at least 4 fan clutches. 3 under warrenty. Last one cost me about an arm and a leg. Here's the deal I shut the engine off fan keeps spinning. How dangerous is this? I have heard everything from "no big deal" to "the fan will shoot threw the hood" Anyone else have this problem???? |

Re: fan spinning out of controll
I've never heard of that many fan clutches giving anyone problems. I would almost say it's just bad luck. I had a simular problem with starters on my daily driver (about 8 on warenty, 3 didn't work when they were installed)
However I'd be tempted to just remove the fan and install an electric fan instead. I wouldn't call it no big deal, if it's spining like that after you shut the truck off it probably doesn't have the force to pull air through the rad when required. I don't think that it'll fly through the hood unless the fan clutch actually breaks apart. |

Re: fan spinning out of controll
Switch to an e-fan and be done with it..
