Specs & Name Of Your Saturn

Lets have some fun instead of tech-ing out our cars in a post for a change...

I have a 92 SC2 with the name "Fred". So given by my 12 yr old son and me because it seemed to fit.

Anyone else?

I've got My Satilac (see below), but this is the only place I've ever called it that.
Many people refer to them as Sattys
If I'm talkin about it, Its my little SL1

(You can bump this in your Satilac, Your Satilac, Player...j/k),

I had 2-10's, now (in the pic.) I've upgraded to 2-12's in a bigger box, They hit like twice as hard...
The two custom mounted speakers in front of them are 6.5"
I went the cheap way and I'm powering them with just a little 4 channel 250Watt Amp I got for free for helpin my buddy move, but I've got an electronic crossover hooked up with a 12 Db boost on it, it lets me tune it to sound just right, and with the gain, hit at just the right level to sound good with my mids... It sounds good, but,
I'm probably going to go get another amp just from Walmart or somethin (up there a cheap 600 Watt is like $40) then I'll use the amp I have to power my mids/highs...
IMO when it comes to the sound of speakers or exhaust bigger = better

Theres a pic of my crossover, and a bad pic of my old 10's in my gallery...

Re: Specs & Name Of Your Saturn

Ive got 2 12's with an 800 watt amp that were all sold together at Best Buy. Then i've got 2 rockford speakers in the back and 2 pioneers in the front since the rockfords were too big . Also a pioneer mp3 player.

Nice, If I was going to buy new, thats what I'd want. RF kicks ass
But all my $h1t was free, except the head unit which was about 50 bucks,
Had 2 -10s, a crossover and, amp given to me because I helped my buddy move and they were sittin in his attic, I cleaned 'em up and they worked great, then I borrowed my brothers 2 -12's because they were sittin in his closet, and the 2 -6.5's came with the head unit....
Its not the best system, but its more than enough to shake you up, and good enough for me, The crossover makes a world of difference...

Re: Specs & Name Of Your Saturn

I have a 92 sc the first car i ever bought after my piece of shiz 87 civic died in the middle of an intersection. Me and my buds call it the pimp-mobile. Its 1.9 dohc with 134,000 miles on it and it still runs like it brand new. I have a panosonic motorized deck, 2 12" kenwoods powered by a 460 watt memphis amp (crap but more than enought power for now) new pioneer rear speakers. The rest is stock and i still smoke all the rice rocket civics on the vard its great.
I hope to get some 17's this summer and some performance mods just for fun so i can say i have them lol.

Re: Specs & Name Of Your Saturn

1997 SW1

Name: The EsDub

all my friends make fun of me, but its all good. their jelous my SW1 can beat their grand am's and accords.

I have a 1600watt sub, in custom built $300 box with no headunit. yes, i said no headunit. my head unit fried 2 weeks ago, altho, it was a sony xplod cx700 i think. oh, and, last night, my saturn died. its currently undergoing its 2nd new starter installation right now.

I am entered for a auto show here in a month up in michigan. its like a "bargain" auto show.. you cant have more then $500 spent on your car, except for stereo parts.. Im sure I'll have one of the top "riced" budget cars

i have a 92 sc
name: scarecrow
i named it that because one morning i went to go to work and my car was covered by a murder of crows. pretty freaky plus it is a sc get it sc...........scarecrow.

i have done alot of things but not as much as i want.

bored tb.
bored cylinders to max
larger fuel injectors (i might go nitro)
cold air intake
shaved some off the head
wrapped headers down to cat.
painted interior from boring tan to slick black
painted cam cover black with saturn in red
new valves
new fuel regulator.
cb with pa to yell at old folks who dont know green from red.
shortened shifter.
stereo is nothing special
a blaupunkt nevada or something it was free
and then just some pioneer speakers front and back.
rebuilt transmission.

and the list of things i want to do is even longer but i am not a drug dealer and my parents arent rich so i do what i can.
