Long Day

So i get to pick up my new 3 4-door tonight after work. All i can say is that this has been the longest day ever and its not even half over. Did anybody else feel this way? This is my first brand new car, so that may be why too.

RE: Long Day

Just wait til you get to the dealer and they say. "We'll get you started on the paperwork." Sign on this, Sign on that, Sign on those, It all makes for a long day. At least the drive home this evening will be pleasant. Congrats on the new 3, hope you like it as well as I like ours.

i picked it up last night around 5:30 and have already put close to 100 miles on it. i love it. 05 3s 4 door, titanium gray metallic, 2.3 5 speed manual, moonroof/6 disk package, sport package, rear wing spoiler. couldnt be happier. i drive on the highway to work and back each day. i took it today, but only did 70 tops. how long should i go before i cruise at my normal 80-85? the dealer said that it really doenst matter how fast you go, but just dont fly through the gears like crazy. what is the normal time period for break-in? thanks!

I think the owners manual says not to torcher it too hard for a thousand or so. I "tried" to be a little easy on ours till it got to about 1500 miles and then did an oil change. I don't know if it's necessary to change the oil that quick but I figured fresh oil after it was broke in a little wouldn't hurt anything. Enjoy your car.

Re: Long Day

I am really stoked about this car, I was driving a geo metro until it would not pass inspection any longer in NY.

It is red with black leather seats and the abs antilock/ airbag
automatic trans

I like the stock head lights
I like the stock fog lights
I like the speakers and the sound

ok, so its monday now. i got the car on thursday. i love it. i dont know how much i can say that. i get looks everywhere i go in it. and everybody wants to take my car now whenever we go anywhere. i bought it with 62 miles and it currently has 529. i get compliments on it all the time too. i washed it on saturday and when i was drying it off in front of the car wash, i had 3 people walk over to me and start talking about it. what a great car!
