1998 GST vs. 2000 Mustang GT

Quick question

My friend is about to get a 2000 Mustang GT with an exhaust. maybe 260 hp?

I have a 1998 Eclipse GS-T (BOV, Apexi n1 exhaust, gt downpipe, injen intake, dejon intercooler pipes) maybe around 250 hp?

in a straight one on one race, which car would win?
having the fastest car out of all my friends i was just curious to know what yall though the outcome would be.

Turn boost settings to 16psi and u will roll off his pony. As heavy as people think a mustang is, its pretty quick, so i would have to say it will be a good race.

I think it would be a pritty close race, but it would be a drivers race.

Hrmm....I personally, I would bet on the mustang....RWD. But yes, it would be fairly close, and would probably come down to the driver. The only thing holding you back is that t-25...cant make a huge amount of power over what it is already doing. If you had a different turbo, you would kill him.

I got my money on the DSM cause of weight. mustangs are quick but I think if get a good start you'll give him a run for his money.

you'll have a tough time getting traction better than him and he'll most likely have a tremendous torque advantage over you so don't be suprised if he rockets ahead of you from the launch. I would say you'd be able to catch up to him at around 60 or so with the boost up.

If not then try two races, one from a dig and one from a highway.

my brother just bought a 2000 mustang gt three weeks ago. we got to racing our cars last week. let me tell you that the first two gears he was ahead of me by 2 car lenghts i thought i was done for. once in third gear i was realling him in fast and by know i was 1/2 a car length behind. in fourth gear i flew past him .

I have a race with a 1993 mustang LX 5.0 the 24th of this mounth. I think it's gonna be a close race. I really only wanna shut him up about 4cyl imports. I know it will be all about the driver. That is why my girl is driving. She has some skills on the track and she's only like 120lbs so that will make a little diff agenst a 200lbs man. Also the fact that my car is lighter.

But like they said before you can't ask this ???. There is no way of telling who will win, just know it will be close.
