MR2 Noob

Hey all sorry if this is really noobish but I'm wondering if someone can give me a quick rundown on something...
~All below apply to 1st gen mr2's

1. Chassis code
2. Stock available engines (basic specs and codes)
3. Do they have an LSD and where can you get one?
4. Common problems
5. A URL for an MR2 forum

Any fast help with this would be great...there is a red one for sale down the street for 500 obo. Something is probably wrong w/ it but I don't mind because I drive an Atenza right now...It'll be a project drifter...if possible. Thanks again.

Re: MR2 Noob

well, first off... welcome to AF and mr2's

1. AW11
2. engines are readily available in a lot of places... minimal searching will yield large results.
4age: a n/a 1.6L DOHC engine producing around 112hp in the most common trim
4agze: Supercharged 1.6L DOHC engine, something like 140hp stock if i remember correctly
4. being an old car.
5. aside from this one... www.mr2oc.com is a great place

sidenote: MR2's are NOT good drift cars. if you want to drift something, look for a corolla gts or an FC or a s13,s14,s15... etc.
