Re: 1992 Ford Escort GT Stalling problems

I have the same issue though it has been far and few. I am suspecting a vacuum leak because it inly happens when I am slowing down to a stop sign or stop light from a relatively fast speed.

IAC valve may be sticking. Remove the IAC valve and spray it with Carb Cleaner. Put a drop of oil on the pindle shaft where it enters the housing.

Make sure the hose going from air cleaner to throttle body is completely on and sealed. Also disconnect battery for a few minutes and the it should be ok.

Check your intake hose for cracks, GT's are known for that, just bend it a bit to check if it has any leaks, electrical tape will fix it right up
