3.8L V6 Intake?
Hey guys,
I just bought a 1996 3.8L V6 Camaro and am very new to the car scene. I was looking into getting a new intake, but am not sure which ones would fit on my engine. Any ideas? I'm on a tight budget so the cheaper the better. Any help would be appreciated! BTW: I did search the forum for a bit, but only found threads on people wanting intakes for their V8 Camaro's. Thanks, Kevin |

Re: 3.8L V6 Intake?
search it up on e-bay you'll find millions of them.
Or if you want more info on it go to http://www.knfilters.com/default.htm And read up on them.

Re: 3.8L V6 Intake?
The best brand is prety much agreed to be the BLP intake. People also use Lingenfelter and others in the K&N style because hey think that the SLP metal intake will heat up (people have measured temps inside and out, cold eninge and warm, it doesnt have anything but a minute effect), I liek the SLP and will prolly get it soon because it gets down away from the engine, is two smooth mandrel bent tubes flowing into a large (i believe 3 1/2") collector, and it also looks better. All can be had for around $200.
Or there's always the do it yourself home depot intake

Re: 3.8L V6 Intake?
Lol performance and VW shouldn't even be in the same sentence together let alone same country.

Re: 3.8L V6 Intake?
What's wrong with Volkswagons performance wise? They make some pretty quick cars, plus I've seen some modded to high hell that could put camaros to shame.

Re: 3.8L V6 Intake?
How come so many people here are anti-everything except for camaros? Why is it so unbelievable for other cars that aren't necesarily "performance" cars to still be fast or at least made fast? I mean don't get me wrong I love f-bodys in general and most are fast as hell, but I still realize that newer cars are utilizing new technology so they can be fast with less.

Re: 3.8L V6 Intake?
Ok fine, ban me for expressing my opinion, but there are stock jettas that will smoke your 3.8's. But I guess that's not as embarrasing as losing to a ranger...
