2001 mustang s/c and IC
theres one in my area im lookin to get. its a 5 spd V6 i opened the engine and theres a damn supercharger and intercooler on it. the thing only had 20k miles on it. i asked him to start it up. and the supercharger was ridilously loud.. the whistle was annoying.when we took it to the shop today to have it looked at they say it could be a barring? i dunno but i do want to get it, didnt get to punch it but it felt like it had balls.
the supercharger is a procharger kit not sure if it had a warranity or not but does anyone kno what might be wrong with it? im callin procharger tomorrow and asking.

dont kno how strong the 3.8 is but the compression is 9.3 so i dunno i never seen anything like it b4? its a huge supercharger and says procharger on it.also it has the intake on it and 2 straight pipes with flow masters

3.8's are notorious for blowing head gaskets without any notice. I wouldn't touch one.

hahah...'the supercharger whistles and it's so annoying'. nothing is wrong with it..that's what a supercharger sounds like. that's like saying 'wtf is that hissing sound the turbo is making..it's annoying'.

if it whines i dont want to hear it all the time. the only thing i want to hear comin from a car is the sound of the world comin to an end

I love that supercharger idleing noise. The very light whine it has. Then when you get on it and rev the hell out of it its fricken music to my ears. To each his own.

You should put on it some stock 94-97 V6 wheels, and try to get people to race you with it. However, I wouldn't pay more than the price of a GT for it, not even that.

Prochargers are very loud, much louder than my Paxton, and it's pretty loud
 I love the sound of my blower. Guy I work with rode in my truck for the first time the other day, and the first thing he said was, "what the hell is that noise" LOL I told him it was the blower, he asked if it was like that all the time, I said yup, and I love it! He said it would drive him insane. Some people just don't understand

heh i didnt read the name of the thread... yeah its a newer 3.8, the head gasket thing is non-existant. id buy that, it probably already runs atleast 13s.
