wiring question

hello a few days ago i tried to wire up my vtec everything is wired but doesnt seem to be working... cant feel any diff and people said i should on a b16 (PR3 ECU)
here is what i did
1st i hooked up the o2 sensor to pin c16
then i hooked up the knock sensor to pin to b19
after that i hooked up the vtec solenoid to pin a08
then hooked up the vtec pressure switch to pin b05... this is where i might of messed up.... there was to wires coming from the vtec prussure switch and i didnt know witch one to hook up to ground and witch one to hook up to the ecu so i hooked the green one to the ecu and the red one to ground (thats what i looked like my schematic said to do, wasnt sure though)
so if you guys know of anything else i have to do let me know please i really want to have my vtec working thanks
Tyrell

Re: wiring question

pull out passanger side kick panel and remove the copper plate by the fut area and there is the ecu theres a glass circle on the top just turn the car off and then turn it back on and watch for a light to blink and count how many times it blinks in a row.....then u can find out what is happing.

Re: wiring question

theres a hole in the plate so you can see the code so you dont gotta remove it

Re: Re: wiring question

do you have Si or Dx? assuming you have Si everything you said was correct as far as wiring goes. does your motor have 1 or 2 o2 sensors? if it only has 1 you can use the stock wiring with no repinning to c16. if you have 2 use 1 with stock wiring and 2nd one to c8. as far as the vtec oil sending unit i don't believe it matters which wire goes to ground.

in order for vtec to kick in your car needs to be warm and oil pressure built.

i forgot to mention that i dont think my 02 sensor is still working cuz i hooked up a air/fuel ratio gauge to it and nothing... the gauge just lights up that one little green light telling me there is power to it... could it be that i might have to hook it up to c08?? instead of c16? doesnt make sense to me... or could the o2 sensor be bad?? thanks tyrell

Re: Re: wiring question

you did MPFI conversion, right? go back thru the wiring and make sure the wires you ran to c1 and c2 aren't backwards. and the wires you moved from c1 to b10 and c2 to b12 aren't backwards.
