Spearco Intercooler
I wanted to know how much HP the spearco intercooler can support without water injection? I am not too excited over water injection or trunk mounted I/C. Does any know of companies that offer AWIC's (not used celicas)?

Re: Spearco Intercooler
The Spearco will support 500+ easily ... I am going to be aiming for 450 rwhp with my Greddy and the Spearo is better.
W-to-A is more of a pain than water injection or a trunk mount. What do you have against WI?

So 500+ rwhp! No worries about it getting heat soaked or anything? Also Ive been searching for a while and cant seem to find any online links to someone who builds a intake manifold. Maybe i should start a new thead but i am thinking hyde will read this a respond. |

Re: Spearco Intercooler
j_greene, I completely respect that you do not want anything in the trunk, but where is your reservoir, pump and other necessities going for an A2W intercooler?
It seems with waht you want, that a standard sidemount IC is the way to go. Yes, heatsoak will be an issue. You can put 2 psal fans on it (one push and one pull) to help. You may want to seak out Joeo on the MR2 board. He makes a WI kit that does not take up much room at all. As for intake manifolds, I am using the Ross Maching Racing unit: www.rossmachineracing.com. This is geared for mid- and higher-end flow. It will cost you a little low end torque.
