Angry 94 Pickup Starter Location and Removal

I'm not really much of a motor head, but I have a Honda Civic that I work on sometimes. Can someone please tell me where the starter is located or atless give me a website where I can get some step by step instructons on removal and installion of a new starter for a 94 nissan pick up. I would really like to hear a reply to this thread please, Thank you.

Re: 94 Pickup Starter Location and Removal

I replaced my starter a few months back. I jacked the truck up and removed the two bolts that hold the starter to the engine. It was a very tight fit and I had to use a variety of wenches. One of the bolts is easy to remove, the other is a bear. Once you get the bolts off, you need to drop the unit down and remove the two wires. Reverse to install the new unit.

It's pretty easy if you get one of the Chilton Manuals at Pep boys or Auto zone. Losen A couple bolts and wires and pull it out. Reverse to put in. Make sure you disconnect the battery just in case.

Just took out my starter for the third time in three months this past weekend. Once to replace the original that went bad. Second time to have the rebuilt replacement tested. A third time to replace the replacement, that went bad. They told me the replacement tested fine, but it also proved to be bad. I used #14 metric socket with an extender and went above the exhaust manifold pipe. It was a tight fit. Make sure you you disconnect the battery cable first.
