Steering Bushing

Hey everyone. I own a 89 S-10 Blazer, and when i bought it, I noticed squite abit of play in the steering. Turns out a bushing is missing, and I can't find them anywhere. I've checked jcwhitney and I've googled for it, but no luck. Anyone know where I can purchase another one and about how much it will cost?

Re: Steering Bushing

I have a question for you. When your driving or making turns does your steering wheel feel really loose? Like no tightness in it all.

Re: Steering Bushing

i saw that before but had a question as i do not understand alot of what is there. about halfway out of the firewall is a rubber piece which wraps around and had grease in it. I found it was broken open and like grease coming out. Is that what is being called the intermediary shaft because after that rubber piece it continues onward.

Re: Steering Bushing

Make sure you also grease the 10-11 grease fittings in the front end.

Show'd my dad that thread, and that's the problem. My "Rag Joint" is worn out, so I need a new intermediate shaft. Oh yay, another couple hundred of dollars out of my pocket......
