I'm trying to remove an '89 CRX DX Steering Rack. How can I access the steering shaft u-joint pinch bolt?? It's hidden in a metal housing between the firewall and subframe.
Thanks, |

Re: CRX Steering Rack Removal?
What I believe your talking about, you can access it from inside the car, theres a plastic piece that goes around the steering column, remove that and you should see the shaft and it's connected in there, you get it loose and it'll drop out. Might take alittle wiggling and different positions to get it out.

Re: CRX Steering Rack Removal?
yep FYI, make sure the steering wheel is straight. BTW it is a 10mm socket!
