Hi, I'm new to the forum and have a question.
I was just blessed/cursed with an 89 Metro for free. The head has some bent valves. Does anyone know if it's better/cheaper to have the head rebuilt or just go to the JY and get another one? I've heard that the heads on these 3 cyls are notorious for having problems. The car is rust free and in great shape. I figure if I have to put a few bucks into it, I'm way ahead of the game with todays gas prices. Thanks.

junk yards are a good place to start but valves are a cheap easy thing to replace
