Droppin my civ...rear strut problems

Hey guys whats going on? Ok so i have a 97 civic ex. I have a set of eibach pro kit springs and koni red struts. I took off my stock strut and springs in the front, but how do you take the rear off? I took off 2 bolts in the trunk of my car on one side, and then a bolt that connects to the arm of the frame. My question is how the hell do you get the strut out after you unbolt everything? I tried compressing my spring but i didn't know what else to do.

Here's a quick fix: Don't post crap against Honda's in a Honda forum. And for the original question: do you have a service manual to look at, or are you just doing it by ear? If not, I would suggest finding a service manual, because they tell you exactly what you need to do to take just about everything off the car.

I un bolted the rear swing arm . I don't know the exact name of the part. If you get behind your car, duck down and look for the rear swing arm, it will bolt onto your struts on one side and into the (rear axle?) on the other side. It's a pain to get back in but thats how I did it.

Oh and redsilverado, fuck you and your piece of shit chevy with your fucking gay as mods, why do you even bother posting on this site? Is your penis that small? Go eat a dick.

I don't know if you are still stuck on this but what you are going to want to do is loosen the through bolt holding your strut to the arm, and there is also a through bolt holding your strut to the a arm that bolts to the other arm, you will see what I am talking about if you look at the bottom of your strut. Once you have removed those (you will need to do some manuevering to get this out) all you have to do is compress the spring and remove the bolt at top of strut. I can post pics if you are still stuck.

And 99sivlerado what the hell are you bashing civics for in a civic forum, are you stupid or just plain ignorant, and my advice for you if you are watching this post still is buy something that is built to last, not built to fall apart after 80k miles!
