poor running '88 voyager
My '88 voyager [ 2.5L. F.I.] has a very rough idle, dies at stops, eats an excessive amount of fuel and has very little power. It's been like this since it was given to me last year, except it's gotten a lot worse in the past couple of weeks. The engine was rebuilt app. 20,000 miles ago. I've replaced plugs, wires, cat. converter and distance sensor. No codes come up. It does have a strong gas smell at the tailpipe when it's idling like it's running real rich

Re: poor running '88 voyager
first try removing vacum line off of egr valve it is on passenger side of throttle body then disconnect battery for about 30 minutes and while disconected turn ignition key to start several times to attempt to discharge any capacitor in vehicle this will reset all adaptive memories and see if this helps

Re: poor running '88 voyager
you could have a bad fuel pressure regulator or even a bad fuel injector.
