Engine Rebuild

My 88 YJ needs the rear main seal replaced and i was wondering if anyne recommends an engine rebuild i bought the jeep 4-5 months ago and i knew it would need some work done to it the 2.5 I4 is runnign good for 140k on it and all but i was wonderin if i should rebuild the engine i m looking for a lil horsepower and torque gain and that would bring it back to brand new. My buddy works at a speed shop and he said he could bore and stroke the 2.5 he said it would cost me somewheres around 300 to 500 dollars to have the engine bored 30 and plus some parts money for the meduim cam i was thinking of adding in and roller lifters and i was wondering if anyone had some incite on what to do i mean i m looking to have fun in the woods and drive around town with a lil more power and torque so any advice would be much appreciated

and if anyone has any other good ways to gain horepower or torque please reply back

thanx guys

Nice blower system for a jeep. You would definately want to re-build or replace the engine before installing one of these.
