Unhappy piston problem

I am installing new pistons and rods into my B16A2 and I think I'm about to have a big problem. From what I've read, the piston pins are either pressed onto the rods or are secured in the pistons and rods by other means. My problem is that when I put in the pins, they just fit right into the pistons and rods, meaning they slide back and forth pretty easily. There is nothing to stop the pins from moving back and forth. I'm afraid the pins are going to tear up my cylinder walls if I don't do anything. (The pistons are Nippon Type R and the rods are Eagle H-Beams, if that makes any difference.) Does anybody have any advice about what I should do?

Maybe I just be really stupid... I dunno...

There were no clips. That's what concerns me. I'll check again but I don't even remember see a place for the clips to seat in the pistons .
