old race 86 stang gt vs neon
ok this is an old race i had but just rembered it and thought to bring it up, was on the 5 freeway in cali andI was driving my 86 stang 5.slow
 was an auto and had bad motor mounts and the trany was going bad becuase of the motor mounts. any ways I was going about 75-80 and this old neon ( back in the before they made srt-4 and stuff wants to race me, the typical speed up / slow down repeat intill race thing. so i punch it and (I know he was tring to race me cause i was hitting the carpool lane to pass cars and so was he) I totaly lose him , so I go back down to a crusing speed, and a few mins later here he is again wanting to race me again, this happens like 3 times total with the same resualt all 3 times. ??? I mean what is this guy thinking. I can belive that a modded neon would beat me but its his car so he should know what he is driving and you would think he would know a stang would smoke him?? any ways was a fun if confusing night :P.btw my car was totaly stock except for a K&N filter replacement ( not a kit but the drop in filter. I think he had exhaust but couldnt tell if he did anything else to his car to make him belive he would win

lol not hating the 5.0 I mean I owned one and loved it. but MY! 5.0 should of been called a 5.slow :P my friend with a stick civic and some decent mods would wast me all the time ( but I raced a body kitted out civic and was keeping pace till i noticed that i didnt even take off in first so i punched it and my auto down shifted :P end of that guy, I mean he must of had 400Lbs of body kit on his car or something or it was a base line civic )

Understood =). I happen to love 5.0s...partialy because I own one and partialy because they are great cars.
btw: I have a field day with ricers around here. I get so many body kit civics wanting to race me, thinking they are hot stuff. Dissapointing that thats all I can get =/

LOL opps my bad LOL was heading towards I5 I was actuly on the 134 heading home from pasadena towards the I5 interchange, race happend right around egale rock area on the 134
