Exhaust???

Hey guys, so ive finally decided to get a 2002 WS6 and have been test driving the past couple of days(w0w... torque). So the first mod I would like to get immediately after i find one is a new exhaust. As a previous import owner, i really know nothing of the aftermarket for domestics so i need suggestions. Id prefer the Loudest, deepest sounding exhaust but not like the *brap brap brap type....(idk if u know what i mean.) but ive heard magnaflow is nice....any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!

Re: Exhaust???

I went with Magnaflow for mine.

If you want the loudest, SLP's Loudmouth is for you. Unless you plan on more mods. Then skip the loudmouth. It doesn't sound good with headers, and it starts sounding even worse when you start changing out the cam, heads.

One thing i will say and this is if your in the south=p

Go with flowmasters the biggest pipe you can get cause smaller pipes have a rasp sound to em.

but the big pipes sound alright and are what peeps respect down here.

But i do hear good things about magna flow.

Re: Exhaust???

I have the Flowmaster American Thunder series on my 95 LT-1 and I love it. It can be heard very far away, and high-rpm downshifts are awesome sounding. Of course, having an "altered" catalytic helps. Maybe I'll try to make a WAV file so you can hear it.

Re: Exhaust???

Personally, I don't care for DroneMasters.

They are loud though if that is what you are looking for.

Re: Exhaust???

Exactly, I dont want a raspy sounding exhaust but more of a deep deep growl. and do brands really make that big of a difference?? and how about performance-wise....id guess that they all give about the same hp/tq but im planning to go with alotta internal work down the road too so.

Re: Exhaust???

My recommendation would be Magnaflow.
Unless you want to spend a ton, then GMMG or Borla.

not many people run borla cuz of the price, but if u got the coin, slap a set on and take out all the restrictor plates. Everyone will love um, and you'll get more compliments then the pope.
keep in mind, all stainless, quad tips and million mile warrenty.

peace
