well as you didn't say where you're from, i'm guessing you're in the US. in which case i can't help. but if you're from the UK i can point you to several porsche only / prestige only breakers. there's also a very good oem & pattern part mail order company in devon.

failing that, try googling for a breakers yard near you or ask your local porsche owners club.

j.

Re: Parts sites

just ask for whatever you need. Many of us here have an over abundance of extra parts that we have stored up over the years and are happy to part with. Tell us where you are from and we can point in the right direction

Re: Parts sites

im in Macon (central) Georgia, but i spend a lot of time in the Atlanta area and should be moving there by the end of the year.

the only two things i know of that i need right now is the shifter knob (automatic) and the wiring harness... unless i can repair it. The previous owner attempted to "fix" the harness already so i have my work cut out for me.

Re: Parts sites

the one that includes the radio, cig lighter, etc...

the story from the previous owner is that he put the lighter in the lighter slot and turned the car on... right after that a puff of smoke came out of the dashboard.

that would be simple enough to track down, but he already started "fixing" it himself... so im thinking the best thing to do would be to replace that whole harness and start over fresh... but im open to suggestions.

im also going to need a window motor for the drivers side. thats more of a cosmetic type thing that i can wait on, though.
